What to pack for a week in Buenos Aires

san+telmo+buenos+aires

We spent one week in Buenos Aires in Argentina in March, which is the start of autumn but the days were still very warm. Although we experienced a bit of rain, the weather was mostly humid and mild, with highs of around 30ºc, lows of around 18ºc and most days sitting around 25ºc. Even in the evenings, there wasn’t really any need for layers beyond a light shirt.

Buenos Aires is a fairly relaxed city and most of the locals were out in t-shirts and jeans at this time of year. But if you like to dress up, there are plenty of fancier bars and restaurants where you won’t look out of place in something fancier. In fact, we found Buenos Aires to be a bit more dressed up than Santiago… But not by much. You could definitely get by in just a casual wardrobe for day and night in Buenos Aires.
