What to pack for a long weekend in Venice

gondola in the venice canals

We spent three days in Venice in May, and experienced all kinds of weather. We arrived in the rain, then had two days of glorious sun with some downpours and wind. So I was glad to have packed for almost everything when we visited!

One thing you’ll find in Venice is that you walk a lot. So the most important thing to bring is comfy shoes that you can stand and walk in for a long time. And leave your heels at home – the cobbled streets and bridges aren’t designed to handle anything uncomfortable.

This is what I packed for three days in Venice.
